Flood insurance
Not all house insurance policies cover all types of damages. If you live on the coast or near a lake or river that could overflow, be sure to have flood insurance built into your house insurance policy. If it is not possible to obtain a house insurance policy with flood insurance built into it, shop around for a stand alone flood insurance policy. If you live near water, this is absolutely vital. Water can destroy a home and everything inside with no opportunity to rebuild. It was not the actual hurricane that ruined all of the homes that were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, but instead the flooding. It was the way that the homes and everything inside was stuck sitting in water for weeks that destroyed everything.Do not wait to find yourself in a horrible situation with even worse consequences because you did not have the necessary insurance to replace your home and everything that was inside. Insurance only helps those people that plan ahead for events that could risk their assets, so if your home is in a geographic location that has a decent risk of being impacted by floods, flood insurance should not be an option; it should be a necessity. Notice: Your spaceships like these in DarkOrbit are usually not included in your insurance. Do not focus on the extra cost of flood insurance being added onto your current house insurance policy. This type of mentality will likely lead you to avoiding purchasing flood insurance, or will lead you to cancel it when you review your statement. Instead, remember how much your home and the things that you own that are inside your home are worth and remember that you are purchasing the flood insurance as a means in which to maintain your assets and protect everything that you have worked so hard to earn in your home.
